Brody Patrick Hoke

I can't believe that my little guy is a week old and I'm just now posting his birth! HA! Better late than never, I guess.

Brody Patrick Hoke entered this world on April 21st at 3:55pm, weighing in at 8lb 14oz (WOW!) and 21 inches long. He's got mommy's strawberry blonde hair but looks like daddy other than that.

Motherhood has been quite an adjustment but I'm having fun learning the ropes. I just don't know who cries more...me or Brody (I'm pretty sure Rory would say me : )). Rory has been settling in nicely to the daddy role and is very, very sweet with Brody. He's even mastering the diaper changes!

Here are some pics....

Checking things out

Mommy's first look and family of 2 becomes family of 3

So true : )

Sara,
It is so neat to have had our babies on the same day. We'll have to keep up with each other at least a little bit to see how they do. Brody will probably always be bigger, thats for sure! We got a kick out of how he filled up the hospital bassinet and Seth was just this little bundle in the corner of his! I'm so happy for you that he was born healthy and that it all went well, considering the inducing and all. Sounds like it was for the best. You also look way too cute for just having a baby. I always look like a blob for a while afterward:)
As far as sleeping 8 hours at night, my secret is, well, I don't have one. Maybe just that I make sure he nurses a lot during the day and try to keep him away for an hour or so (his limit) right before bedtime. He's pretty much awake only for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening, besides nursing, so far. Maybe he's just a sleepy baby. I also don't have it dark when he sleeps during the day. I have him in the dining room where it is bright and not quiet, either. So his rest a night is different in that it is dark and quiet. Maybe that makes a difference. Oh, and of course Seth has a perfect mother, which makes him sleep peacefully and long:-) I wish!
